David Tillman is a retired hospital and hospice chaplain and a volunteer sheriff’s chaplain. He is an ordained United Church of Christ minister. Before his second career as a chaplain, David worked in printing sales and marketing for over 30 years. He has been involved in men’s work for over 30 years. The idea for this Life’s Journey website has been his dream for many years, and he continues to add articles. Dr. Michael Obsatz has been his mentor and friend for over seventeen years.

Dr. Michael Obsatz is a Professor Emeritus from Macalester College.  He taught Sociology and Education courses at Macalester for 40 years. Also, he was a therapist in private practice, a men’s group leader, a boys’ group leader, a workshop presenter, and an author. His book, Raising Nonviolent Children in a Violent World, won the 1999 Minnesota Book Award and the Catholic Press Association Award. His other books are Open Our Eyes, Healing Our Anger, and From Stalemate to Soulmate.  Mike’s documentary about mentoring boys, Journeyman, won two film festival awards and has been seen by over 3 million people. David Decker, M.A., is a licensed psychologist who is currently in private practice in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he provides anger management, domestic abuse, and general mental health services to individuals and couples.  His areas of expertise include anger regulation, men’s issues, depression, anxiety, stress management, shame and family-of-origin issues, domestic abuse, assertiveness, communication and couples issues, healthy relationships, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
