Taunting is Daunting: The Perils of Childhood Bullying 

Bullying in America is at epidemic levels. Hundreds of thousands of children and adults experience bullying every day. There is physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, neglect, violence, and shaming. Dr. Mike Obsatz, Professor Emeritus, believes the pain and suffering are not taken seriously enough. This video explores types of bullying, root causes of bullying, the “boy” crisis, mass school shootings, and some solutions to the problem. Dr. Obsatz shares some personal stories of his own bullying experience in the 1940s and 1950s. Note, in the 1940s and 1950s, Jewish doctors in the United States faced significant discrimination and were often barred from practicing in many hospitals.
